| Bringhurst Street was named for the Bringhurst family who invented the "Germantown Wagon." This wagon was an alternative to the Conestoga wagon which was more like "a Chevy truck" of the day, whereas, the Germantown Wagon served not only to carry trade goods to market but also was used to be driven to church and social functions. It was seen in Germantown as late as 1930. | ||||
